Wrinkle Relaxers (i.e.- Botox, Dysport. Xeomin, Daxxify)

Wrinkle relaxers, such as Botox, Dysport, Xeomin, and Daxxify, are popular non-surgical treatments designed to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles caused by muscle movement. These injectable treatments work by temporarily relaxing the muscles responsible for dynamic wrinkles—those caused by repetitive facial expressions like frowning, squinting, or raising your eyebrows. Wrinkle relaxers target areas such as the forehead, crow’s feet around the eyes, and the frown lines between the brows, smoothing the skin and creating a more youthful, refreshed appearance.

Wrinkle Relaxers Treatments

 

  1. Botox: Botox is the most well-known and widely used wrinkle relaxer. It works by temporarily blocking the signals from the nerves to the muscles, preventing muscle contraction. What sets Xeomin apart from Botox and Dysport is that it doesn’t contain any additives, making it a purer form of botulinum toxin. Xeomin is effective for treating forehead lines, frown lines, and crow’s feet, and results can last around 3 to 4 months.

  4. Daxxify: Daxxify is a newer wrinkle relaxer that offers longer-lasting results than Botox, Dysport, or Xeomin. It works similarly by temporarily relaxing the facial muscles that cause wrinkles. However, Daxxify’s unique formula can provide results that last up to 6 to 9 months, making it a great option for those looking for longer-lasting results with fewer touch-ups. It is FDA-approved for treating moderate to severe frown lines and offers natural-looking results.

  5. Jeuveau: Often referred to as “Newtox,” Jeuveau is another botulinum toxin injectable similar to Botox. It targets wrinkles caused by repetitive muscle movements, especially in the forehead and around the eyes. Jeuveau is known for delivering results that are comparable to Botox, with the same longevity of about 3 to 4 months, making it a great alternative for those looking for effective wrinkle relaxation.
